2025 Somatica In-Person BDSM Class

There is a growing need for Somatica practitioners who are not only affirming of BDSM education, fetish, and kinky desires, but also knowledgeable and capable of guiding clients to learn BDSM.

While there have been better and more accurate depictions of BDSM, “50 Shades of Grey” created a wave of excitement, bringing BDSM, fetishes, and kinks into the zeitgeist. Interest in this realm has only continued to skyrocket since then, with more and more people turning to professionals to show them the ropes — and more professionals looking to hone their skills with BDSM classes.

That’s why the time is now to grow your practice as a Somatica-certified sex and relationship coach by exploring BDSM education with our Somatica In-Person BDSM Class. Upon completion, you can incorporate dominance, submission, and other erotic desires into your coaching toolbox.

Why BDSM?

In recent years, there has been an increased demand for Somatica coaches who are well-versed in BDSM and fetish education – capable of guiding and empowering clients to begin exploring their kinks to heighten their fulfillment.

By taking BDSM classes and specializing in this field, you can differentiate yourself from other sex and relationship coaches by, for example, offering guided explorations of your client’s dominant and submissive desires. Because so few coaches possess mastery in this arena, working with clients interested in BDSM, kinks, and fetishes can be a very lucrative niche.

What You Will Learn in This BDSM Class

In this class, you’ll learn how to prepare clients to explore dominance, submission, BDSM, and fetishes. This includes:

  • BDSM fundamentals such as dominance and submission (D/s), negotiation, safety, body mechanics, impact play, dominant/submissive energy and embodiment, and creating a “scene container” — including the time and energetic boundaries between reality and our darkest fantasies.
  • Ways to nurture yourself and honor your boundaries while working with clients in this realm.
  • Tools to support clients in exploring their desires by effectively applying fundamental Somatica tools.
  • Skills to discuss and navigate common kinks, challenges, and obstacles.
  • Bondage basics and safety — including safety, communication protocols, and BDSM props, such as restraints, rope, and impact toys.
  • Tactics for marketing yourself as a BDSM and kink-knowledgeable coach while avoiding common pitfalls, such as incorrect or shaming language, passionless calls to action, over-promising, and inauthenticity.

You will leave this class with practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of the psychology of shadow desires. You’ll also be encouraged to explore your own kinks and fetishes, so you may share these deeper parts of yourself authentically as you teach clients to do the same.

Who is it for?

  • Somatica coaches looking for new tools to help their clients achieve greater intimacy through BDSM.
  • Somatica graduates who are interested in personal growth.
  • Somatica graduates interested in BDSM with all levels of experience, including BDSM novices.

Who can join?

  • The BDSM class is available to all Somatica graduates and students.
